Swapping blades is a two‑second job, and the spare edges tuck neatly into the handle so they don’t vanish the moment you open the packet.Longevity and durability is the one caveat. After a few projects—especially the gritty outdoor runs—the once‑smooth plastic edges start to nick and dimple. Those tiny notches translate straight into wobbles in fresh silicone, so I now keep one kit pristine for interior caulking and sacrifice the battle‑scarred pieces for exterior jobs. At this price replacing them every year or so isn’t painful, but it’s worth knowing.Sealability with this tool is second to none with a good size variety.Overall, if you want fuss‑free, professional‑looking beads with minimal clean‑up, this kit hits the mark. Just expect to retire the profiles once they’ve seen serious mileage—or, like me, grab an extra set and customise them to fit the awkward spots no factory edge can reach.

I bought this kit after watching several YouTube videos. I have used it a few times for a couple of different sizes of silicon beading around a shower and worktop. The material they are made from is easily wiped clean and I had no issues leaving a tidy looking job when using them. For the price they are well worth the money, especially considering that badly applied silicon is an eyesore!

I had a bunch of sealing to do to my motorhome and originally used a much cheaper version of this item that I had in my tool box. After a lot of mess and untidy results, I bought this. Yes, it's pricey for what it is but it does the job great. Very pleased with this.

I hate doing silicone but this tool makes the job so so much easier. Tried a number of other tools in the past but nothing comes close to this. The removal tool is also very good too and makes light work of removing old silicone - just be careful not to catch things you don’t want scratched!

I was revamping my bathroom and needed to re-seal my shower and bath. My bath in particular has a large gap between it and the wall and earlier sealant had failed 3 times due to flexing. Wanting it not to fail again, I decided to look up different sealing methods and found a YouTube video showing this profiling kit. It looked so easy a child could do it but more importantly the silicone bead was much thicker and a different shape (triangular) than that achieved by running your finger along the bead (which produces a thin, concave finish).Like most things on YouTube, using a the profiling kit wasn't as easy, or mess free, as it looked! There is most definitely a skill to using it and I was only just mastering the skill after I'd finished both the shower and the bath.I bought this particular kit because of the feet you can attach which allow you to keep a continuous line over uneven surfaces as my shower tiles are textured, not flat. However, the kit still struggled with that in places.Contrary to what is shown on the YouTube video, you may be left with a thin bead of sealant on the wall and sanitary ware. It's fiddly to remove but does come off well with methylated spirits, so have a bottle to hand.I actually found it more time consuming using this profiling kit than using my finger, and corners were difficult to do well, however the thickness of the bead is far superior and you do get a nice clean edge (once you've removed any excess sealant).

Wasn’t sure if it was all hype be happy with results.DO make sure you use it the right way around. A few YouTubers are not using it the right way and saying it doesn’t work. Well it would and it does if it’s held and used correctly. They say wetsoapy water isn’t needed and it’s true however in a few cases it helps. I have rough stone tiles and it helps on friction as does the black gliders especially floating over grout lines.I’ll never use anything else. Just find some useful YouTube guides after a few different channels watched I was confident enough. With practice it’s great.An update to include a tool for not quite 90 degrees would be a plus but worked around it with some angling of the tools. A few more curve radius sizes a 6 and a 15 is all you get here Adding a 8, 12 would be nice. But I understand that the triangle profile is actually the more correct and stronger one to use so maybe they are pushing us to that profile instead.I did try one in an area and it looked surprisingly neat.
