Easy installation, not as powerful as some of these reviews make it out to be
It looks nice, the light fixture is great, and it works. If you hold up a sheet of paper to the fan, the suction will hold it up but it’s not as powerful as these reviews make it out to be

Good fan, several options, bright light
Got this to replace a failing fan (gets noisy off and on) we installed a few years ago in an upstairs bathroom. This is also nice as it sits flush instead of sticking down several inches. Also like this has a bright LED light.Installation was pretty straight forward as I was able to reuse my existing wiring. I did need to enlarge the opening in the ceiling as the previous one had a smaller mounting box. There was framing on one side of the hole so I installed a board on the other so I could screw into those instead of using the enclosed bracket. You are able to remove the fan from the housing by removing 3 screws and squeezing 2 clips. You can also detach the exhaust port. This makes installing from the underside easier as you don't have as much weight to deal with. It is a little tricky if you use the side instead of the top for the electrical knockout as you have to angle the box instead of straight up & then align the exhaust port to the box when you slide it back in place.Once the box is installed you can replace the fan unit as it clips in place & then you replace the 3 screws. You have several settings or options for fan speed, a delay before the fan kicks in and a few others.Installing the light is also easy, plug it in, place the spring wires into the guides & slide it up & in place (you may need to move the wire so it sits flush with the ceiling). This also makes it easy to access the setting controls if you want to make adjustments. There are some optional modules you can add that are listed in the product description. These are not listed on the ILiving website. I tried calling their 800 number to get pricing. Once I finally got an answer after a few attempts I was first directed to the website & then promised a call back that never happened. Maybe they will be made available at a later date. Right now I am good without them.Hopefully this fan lasts longer then the one I just replaced that was only slightly cheaper from a local home improvement store.

Quiet - efficient - attractive and functional
The media could not be loaded. Â We had expanded our old half bath into a full bath some 10 years ago... but we left the original exhaust fan in place. Now, that forty year old undersized unit is making so much noise, we're afraid to use it. Time to finally replace it.Since I was replacing it from below (no access from above), my first concern was how to remove the old unit from below without destroying the whole ceiling in the process. But this iLiving unit is much bigger than the old one. By the time I marked and then cut out the larger opening, I had plenty of access and removal of the old unit was really no problem. Then, as for mounting the new unit, it comes with a clever expanding frame that you can fold and slide up into the opening, then expand to form a square framework that the fan will bolt to. The two main rails of that framework extend all the way out to reach across to the adjacent stud. Then you just have to reach through the opening to screw it into the stud. A clumsy operation at best, but with some awkward effort, it's definitely doable... and the result is a very solid support for the fan.The ductwork was another challenge. The iLiving unit comes with a detachable exit piece so you can work this portion of the project without having to support the entire fan... I very much appreciated that. From the fan's perspective, the ductwork was easy... but from my 40 year old house's perspective, it was again a clumsy struggle. The existing concealed ductwork stretches all the way out to the back of the house... but in the bathroom there was only a flexible hose that attached to it. That hose needed to be replaced. Again, awkward, but doable.Once this was all accomplished, it was time to tackle the wiring. As usual, the working diagram in the installation manual was somewhat vague... but it did give specifics about their color coding... this color is live for the fan, that color is neutral for the light... etc. Once I sorted through that, wiring it up was pretty easy. You remove the cover plate to expose the leads... all were plenty long enough to work with and there was plenty of room to tuck everything back inside once connected. The unit did not include a stress relief fitting for the knock out hole... and it did not include any wire nuts. These will have to be purchased separately. Not a big expense... just an annoyance. In my opinion, these are items that should be included. Finally, fitting the whole thing together. The expanding framework really did work out well, and once I got the whole thing pushed up into position, it was just a matter of screwing it in place in that framework. There's adjustments for flow, fan speed, time delay, and air trimming switch, but I left them all at their default settings. I'll adjust them later if the need arises. So, I popped the cover on and was ready to go.This thing is quiet... very quiet! (Especially compared to our old noisy little unit.) I still need to go back with some silicone caulk to seal around the edges (and fix a spot in the drywall from a slip of the knife). This sealing might make it even quieter... and the light is very bright. It could light up the whole bathroom all by itself. All told, I'm very happy with this exhaust fan. It looks nice and functions beautifully - quietly and efficiently. I expect it to last for many years to come!
