Q: What is 3-way auto shut off? Does that mean I can bypass it for sewing?

The 3-way auto shut off activates when the iron is left on the fabric without moving for too long, when it is tipped on its side and after a period of time when it is upright but hasn't been moved. This is the only iron with auto shut off that has a 30 minute window before it shuts off in the upright position, which is a nice feature when you are sewing. As far as I can tell, there is no way to bypass the auto shut off feature.
