I have been dealing with chronically chapped lips for years. I have used pretty much every lip balm on the market. I have very sensitive skin and have had the unfortunate experience of reacting to many of the natural lip balms. I have been using petroleum and mineral oil based lip balms assuming I have an allergy to some ingredient in the natural based lip balms. My lips have only become drier and more chapped with those lip balms. They did nothing to help moisturize my lips. I really think they actually made them worse. I decided to try this lip balm out of desperation. I used it the first night I received it and for the first time in years my lips were smooth, moisturized and looked (and felt) so much better. I have been using it for 3 days and I am truly and completely amazed. Goodbye chapped lips, hello healthy lips. It is a little grainy when you apply it, but I think it also acts as a very gentle, yet effective exfoliator allowing the balm to actually work. It does not look too "glossy", goes on like chapstick and keeps lips moisturized for hours, even after drinking and eating. I highly recommend this product.

I am a chapstick whore. I went from nasty Carmex to minty natural chapsticks to finally this. I am Very happy with this chapstick and I’m always applying chapstick. I do Not have to apply as often with this and even my picky “all natural chapstick” boyfriend said it was a good find. The only issue we had was that 2 out of the 4 had melted and literally smelled and tasted like plastic, very gross. But I am ordering again because the ones that didn’t melt in the mail are great. Here’s hoping for round two.Update: round two was good and 3 and 4, I haven’t dealt with the melting chapstick issue since the first shipment. Now I have it on auto ship to me every few months. Still happy with this product.

I love love love this product!!! I have a habit of licking my lips constantly and I feel so safe with this lip balm. They clearly indicate what they put on the box, and none of the names look like unknown chemicals. I am a female who has dry lips especially during fall and winter. It last about 5-6 hours on my lips and I put it again. I also noticed that my lipstick stays longer with better color and that "fit" feeling on top of this product. Thank you for making this awesome product!

I hate conventional drugstore lip products because, once they wear off, they tend to make my lips feel dryer. I fell in love with Maui Mike's lip balm because it felt super-hydrating but I didn't like the ingredients. This goes on smooth, feels very moisturizing, lasts a long time without a greasy or oily feel, and wears off naturally, without the 'rebound'. I have tried quite a few different brands over the years and this is by far the best.Update 4/2/18Ran out of this and, since I can't stand to be without lip balm ever tried (another) natural brand sold at local grocery store. Oily and nearly gone after 5 minutes. This is still my favorite,. Buying more, pronto, because I can't stand to be without it.Update 12/28/18Yup, still my fave. Can't live without this stuff! Just bought my 3rd 4-pack.

I always have used chapstick. I'm addicted to it and must always have one in my pocket. I recently saw something that suggested that most SPF are actually bad for you and they named the same ingredient that was in my chapstick, oxybenzone. Supposedly it can throw off hormones in the body. I'm not sure if this claim is true or not but I decided to look on amazon for an organic alternative that doesn't have sunscreen in it.I found this lip balm and I'm glad I did. It has a slightly different smell and consistency than chapstick, more of a neutral smell I'd say, whereas chapstick is more petroleum smelling. It is close enough that I had no issues transitioning over.The best part of switch is I've felt the need to reapply less often. I haven't been keeping track, but it feels like I have to use this less than half as often as I was applying chapstick. That alone is worth 5 stars in my opinion.

I’ve been using this lip balm for a while and really liked it at first- it has no scent and no taste, which is great. However, this lip balm breaks down pretty quickly either because of its formulation or it is sensitive to heat (not good since I keep my lip balm in my pants pocket). The lip balm gets clumpy and you get a huge glob on your lips. If they were able to make it slightly firmer this product would be great.

This is my new favorite lip balm! The texture is smooth and the balm keeps my lips from getting chapped! I’ve been in the health food industry for many years! You just can’t find a better product anywhere!

I don't often write reviews.However, these are fantastic. My lips dry out VERY quickly, and all the other lip balms I've tried (including burts bee's) seemed to just "cover" my lips and not actually heal or moisturize them. The peppermint oil in many of them would also sting the cuts in my lips very badly.This, however, actually moisturizes and heals my lips, so I end up needing to use it far less often than all the others I've tried. It is also matte, which for me as a guy is great.If you're on the fence, try it. There's a reason this thing has almost 90 percent 5 star reviews.
