Charles Owen Ayr8 Helmet

I love my Charles Owen... this isn't my first CO or even my first Ayr8... I love the fit and look of the CO, modern and classic. They fit oval shaped heads better than round heads generally. They have a low profile and offer GREAT protection. The ventilation of the Ayr8 is outstanding... that's why I get it. Also the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned.***IMPORTANT***Charles Owen and other international helmets go through much more rigorous and strict testing than American helmet companies... They have a much higher impact load guarantee and offer far superior safety standards.Many times have people had their heads saved by Charles Owen helmets that would have otherwise been vegetated had they used some other brands...

Love this helmet! It's much nicer than the other helmets I have owned. There is extra padding and it laces at the back for a better/closer fit to the head. The strap is more comfortable than other straps on my other helmets. The strap is easier to adjust. The bill on the helmet is a bit longer too which gives a bit better sun protection. This helmet also has a better test crash rating which was important to me after I had an accident with a fairly severe concussion. I was wearing a helmet at the time but it did not protect the back of my head. This helmet comes down a bit further.

Received 11 days after order (from England), brand new in the box with all of the tags. Amazon hasn't figured out that it arrived yet! ASTM 1163-15 certified, exactly as advertised. Love the CO fit. This is a replacement for my old Ayr8. A little snug, but my old one was worn out and rocking forward on my head. Don't be fooled by my husband's name on the amazon account; I am a female hunter/jumper rider, showing at USEF rated horse shows.

Great price, good hat (I've had 2 other Charles Owen hats.) I opted for this model for the ventilation, but so far it doesn't feel any cooler than either of my other models. It's still probably the best brand of helmet to have. It's a good, true to size fit, and quite comfortable.

Great helmet and super lightweight. This is absolutely the best buy out there! Some retailers charge twice as much for these helmets. It fits perfectly true to size as I purchased this as an upgrade from my previous helmet. Very comfortable. Only drawback for me was that it looks quite large on my head, but hey, it's suppose to protect what's in there! Definitely a keeper

Got the right size and color, great helmet! Very light and looks great. Shipping took about three weeks but was worth the wait.

The helmet is superb, you can tell right away why this helmet is so expensive. I don't regret buying it at all. Have in mind that depending on the seller, this item might ship from Europe and take a little longer. Don't freak out, it's worth the wait.

This is an excellent helmet. The price from this seller cannot be beat. It took a while to arrive, but my order was smack dab at Christmas time. And when I inquired to the seller about delivery, I got an immediate response and tracking information. The helmet itself is classic hunter style for the show ring. I have an oval-ish head and the fit is perfect. However I will note that in some helmets I wear a 7 and for this one the 6 7/8 fits better. Nicely vented for the hot summers too.
