Gymboss Plus Interval Timer and Stopwatch (Violet/Pink)

Does a limited but very workout-specific duty. Not super cheap, but if something bad happens (drop, water, walk on, lose), you're not out the price of an i-phone. Easy to change the settings for two rep times on the fly. I use it for a rep time and interval time. Vibration not so useful; hard to feel during workout. Illuminated display would make this better. Audible alerts work well.

All the gymboss timers I have ever used have been fantastic! This is is slightly louder than the older models and is perfect for any type of CrossFit or circuit training! You will definitely be able to hear it over any music playing.

Got this timer to help time stretching routines and to tabata/Hiit workouts. I wanted a timer where I did not have to look at my phone because I can get distracted easily. Over all i am impressed. It only took me a few times of running through how to program it to get used to it but now I can change programs with in a few seconds. I like that I can clip it on my shirt during my stretch routines and the clip will not accidentally detach. I can also easily remove the clip and lay it flat for my tabata/hiit exercises. The sound is adjustable. I like it loud to hear over my music and I can easily hear it. You can program the beep from 1 to 5 beeps to tell you when the change happens. I do feel like anything over 2 is excessive, but that is the nice things you can program it how you want. The reason I gave it 4 stats is because the batter low light has been flashing about 5 mins after I put fresh batteries in it. It has still functioned properly but I am always thinking that the battery is going to die and I will be in a stretch or set longer than anticipated. Not a huge deal but still something that goes through my mind when using it. Currently I have been using it 4 times a week for a total for 45 mins at at time since I got it which is about a month and a half ago and the battery has not die. Would recommend for a simple interval timer.

I got the basic model years ago, I think it was the only one that offered at the time. this was worth the upgrade

I honestly loved my first Gymboss MiniMax, I used it for HIIT workouts and training for a 10k. However, after several years, I bought this timer in 2017, it kicked the bucket. Let’s first address this issue. I feel that for such simple electronics this timer should last longer then 4 years. I expressed my opinion with Gymboss, I was told to put a new battery in, and to try and reset the timer by pressing the reset button. These things did not work, so I purchased the Gymboss+. BIG MISTAKE!!My Gymboss+ timer is poor quality. I am currently doing interval runs. On my second run, the timer fell off of my shorts. So here’s there problem, the clip is soo loose. I actually clip it in the exact same spot as my previous Gymboss timer, and never had this problem. Okay so I just starting to fold my shorts over and clip to my underwear also. They claim that this timer has a louder beep. Well if the door on the back is completely closed then it’s softer. Halfway open it’s as loud as my old timer, and all the way open it’s louder. Okay so if these were the only problems I wouldn’t care. I’ve used my new timer maybe 12 times and the beep is no longer working. I changed batteries, and, yes used high quality brand name batteries. I’ve pressed the reset button tried changing batteries yet again, and to no avail, the beep no longer works. The timer function still works, but without a beep this defeats the purpose if this timer. DO NOT buy this timer!! Super cheaply made.

The "set" button does not work, so I cannot set this up or turn it off. Very disappointing to receive a new product and find it doesn't work. It put the battery in, and it immediately began counting down, which is how I heard the alarm and felt the vibration. Good sound and strong vibration. Then I tried to set it, but the set button simply doesn't work. Then I did do a reset, followed all the directions, but this particular product just doesn't work. Too much money for something that I can't use. I was hopeful that this could be clipped on during HIIT and Tabata workouts, but no such luck.
