Pretty nice if you get a good motor
I love the look and aesthetic of this water block/ distro plate/ reservoir, whatever you want to call it. It works quite well overall. I wish the pump faced the back though, with the way they set it up you only get to see 2 of the 3 LED rings. One thing the instructions do not make explicitly clear is that every section of the block is REQUIRED to use. I'm not cooling my GPU so I had to install a loop to connect the in and out ports.Taking a star off because my pump started failing after only a few days, which shouldn't happen with the name-brand pump they use (it's a Xylem D5). Luckily Amazon is really good about this stuff and they're sending a replacement. And yes, I bled the system correctly and I never let the pump run dry.

Low quality for the price
I bought the XD7 thinking it was going to be simple and cheap (for a distribution plate with pump at least). My question is what is wrong with the build quality? Not what I expected from Corsair. Plastic threads for fittings that are good for a couple uses with normal fittings at most. While installing my loop I had a fitting pull right out on me destroying the plastic thread on the XD7 and making filling the loop a massive pain. The plastic threads are also very prone to cross threading if using metal fittings (like the ones Corsair makes…). This leads to air getting into the system even if there isn’t a water leak. I have multiple pumps and have built at least 10 loops before this one that all passed the pressure test. The XD7 has never passed it and in fact I can always see air in the water itself that doesn’t bleed off. If you want a product that will last for multiple system builds don’t get the XD7.

Pump is junk!
Ok so let me just start with im a big corsair fan which is why my whole build is practically corsair products. This is aesthetically appealing however the pump is complete junk. After around 60-80% speed this pump rattles and makes a grinding noise like the impeller is gonna jump out. The longer it runs the worse it gets. Unfortunately i replaced the first one and now im having the same issue. Looks like ill be going with a competitor brand for obvious reasons. I have also attempted to reach out to corsair directly but was quickly questioned on my build as in the direction like its my fault or the build is the problem. I wasnt about to answer a million questions just to get a replacement so amazon took care of it and now im back to square one. Will be returning and switching to a brand you can never go wrong with. Im obviously not the only one having this issue so i hope corsair updates this unit soon. No hard feelings corsair.lol

Great novice-friendly distribution block
The XD7 is a really unique computer component in that it not only serves as a distribution block and pump in a custom water cooling loop, but it also presents as a set of 3x 120mm faux fans. Some things I wish I knew before I ordered: I received an updated model which has an extra port above the drain ports that can be used with the included thermal sensor. Unfortunately, Corsair has not updated the included manuals or online support to provide this information and I had to reach out to customer support. Additionally, I had to purchase a Commander Core XT in order to regulate the XD7's pump speed.PROS:- Amazing aesthetics- Great for novices who want to get into water cooling- Consolidates pump and reservoir and leaves case a bit tidier- Blends in with fans if you have matching fansCONS:- User documentation not up to date- LED diffusers don't really diffuse the light- Can only be mounted in one orientation (unless you get clever)- Not compatible with new iCUE system
