Easy to switch
My canister for the filter for the previous under-sink water filter in the kitchen got a split in it, so I had to buy another since there was no replacement for just that part. This new filter works great too, but has the additional benefit that the filter is also the canister. It will be much easier to replace, and the additional cost per filter will be such a non-item in the budget that the difference wasn't a consideration in my choice. It was very easy to connect to the existing tubing. As with any such item, just make VERY sure of the connections after you turn it on. After I did it and I turned the water on to check for leaks, there was absolutely none -- for an hour. I'm just so glad that I was in the next room when one of them popped! I thought maybe I'd somehow warped the connection or it hadn't lined up right, but the plumber I had come to fix it showed me I'd just not tightened it up well enough. He had a little brass insert to put in the tubing so that he could crank down better on the fitting. I'll remember that little trick next time, if there is a next time.

Great filter
I love this filter. My water was very chlorinated and now it's perfect! Never have to worry about any problems even if city has a contamination issue but it only filters cold side. My plumber says the hot water side is already filtered bc it's hot
