Bought the brown too an I have to say the same...Soft, not dye, great price, made in USA, and it is organic cotton!!!

Appears very nice, however, does not really feel like Chenille....more like cotton but very nice quality

This is a wonderful organic throw blanket. Not too thin and not too thick.
