Prozor Turntable PreAmp boots Volume when Playing LPs
This preamp was affordable easy to install and boots Volume output from phonojack significantly than without it.Can't even turn Volume knob on Preamp all the way up without running risk of blowing speaker cones on my moderate Hi-Fi System.Very pleased with the Upgrade in sound quality with Use of this PreAmp.Did/Have not experienced the negative issues other reviewers mentioned so far.Pleased with this purchase.

Pretty good for a cheap amplifier
Quality build and feel, nice vol. control. (looks good too)I use it mostly for a master volume control for my Denon AVR.So now my vol. is the same between my phono, media player, roku ultra and tv.No longer have to adjust my AVR volume. Unless i want too. Also made a good improvement on my vinyl sound.Would recommend for anyone that can not spend 100's or more for higher end stuff.

Exactly what I needed.
My turntable had a built in pre amp with no volume knob. Put this in between the turntable and my speakers and could control the volume with no distortion. Easy to set up. Seems sturdy.

Do not use this with the intention of using the front headphone jack
I thought for sure I had found exactly what I needed. But alas no. I have Edifier bookshelf speakers with no headphone 3.5mm option when I want to listen to my turntable through headphones. So, I figured I'd get this, turn off my turntable's built-in phono preamp and just use this. Well, it worked really well, and sounded really nice (possibly better than my LP60's built-in preamp. The control knob felt nice and was smooth. However, once I plugged in my Samson monitor headphones into the 3.5mm front jack, the output was super quiet. Even turning the volume knob all the way up didn't help much. However, there was still sound coming out of the speakers, too. Plugging in headphones didn't mute the speakers, it merely quieted them by about 90%. So much so that I could feel the bass coming out of them OVER the sound output of the headphones. Most likely, it's just bypassing the amp when you plug in headphones and I'm only hearing the line out from the turntable.5 stars as a preamp, minus 2 stars for non-working headphone output. I guess I'll keep trying to find a way to listen with headphones. Had to return this. Shame, thought it was going to be the answer I needed.

Ease to set-up!
The sound is great! I wasn't sure what to expect but I am pleaslasantly surprised. I just recieved my dad's turntable. It needed a new belt and it needed a preamp. Thank you Amazon for having all the parts I needed to bring life to my dad's turntable. It brings a part of him back to life.

Heavy distortion
This would have been perfect if it functioned properly.I may have gotten a defective one, but I saw the same complaint saying the same thing.I thought that a lower input signal would not distort, but it did. It’s not usable.I tried different input impedances and signal strengths, and different amplifiers - always lots of distortion.
