Well, I have not had the need for this yet, I’m going to make darn sure I have it with me since I’m running 40 inch tires. Not an easy size to fix or find if you need a replacement until you can get some help.Even if you don’t use it, you might be on the trail when somebody else does.Repair your own tire in the middle of nowhere even once and you will be proud of yourself for doing that.Don’t forget to bring a way to put air in your tire also.A small 12 volt compressor or even a can of compressed air.

If I Ever Need It, I don't carry a spare unless I'm traveling distances. Why carry a spare you almost never use, carry this and your jack and a pump.....100 lbs lighter.

Works great saved me after slicing a sidewall a couple miles into a technical 50 mile route. Sidewall patch held air throughout the technical wheeling and got me back to pavement the following day where I could swap over to the spare tire.

The media could not be loaded. I got a sidewall puncture on the trail and didn't have this kit. I switched to my spare (which was a pain) and came home and ordered this kit, so that's why you see me installing it in my garage.Firstly, it's packaged very nice. There's plenty of adhesive and sandpaper and enough for 4 patch jobs. It's small and the packaging keeps everything nice and protected from the elements even if it's kicking around in the back of your dirty jeep or truck.The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There was an extra reminder card reminding you that you should not use a ton of glue, there's a dot matrix you should apply to ensure a good bond. The sandpaper made cleaning the area on the tire easy, even deeply embedded dirt was cleared away relatively quickly with the low grit sandpaper leaving a fresh black rubber surface to bond to.The patches were easy to cut with a razor blade to shape the patch to fit the area. I tapered the edges so they wouldn't catch, in retrospect I left a point on one end of my patch but the instructions did inform me to round the edges and I would do that next time.I was able to get everything cleaned up and patch applied in about 5 minutes. Then 10 minutes of curing before filling it back up to original pressure. I left it overnight and checked the next day and the pressure didn't budge a bit.I'll be driving the patch this weekend on an offroad trip (note that this patch is not approved for on-road use and you really should just be using it to get off the trail -- I am just conducting some research about how well it holds up and accept the risks of driving on it) and will report back if it doesn't hold up but it really seems like it stuck on well and I don't foresee any problems.Definitely going to chuck this bag into my jeep and keep it as another option for trail repairs. Highly recommend

Bought this to patch a busted sidewall on my sxs tire, it will get you home but not a permanent fix. Have to air up every 30 mins or so no matter how many times I re do the patches but in a bad situation it should get you home

These kits work!Had a major sidewall rip about 2" long, used a grinder to prep the area, followed the directions and was back up and running. Normally this type of sidewall damage would require a new tire but being my rig is for off road use only I have no problems continuing to run this tire. Zero leaks, zero issues and this Jeep gets run HARD. This is my third kit.Highly recommended!!!
