Spiratronics Potting Compound Twin Pack 50g

As potting compound goes, this is good stuff. It's easy to mix and cures well. Like all resins, it takes a while to cure properly, but it's as fast as others I've used.Don't be fooled by the description, as I was. There is in only one sachet of potting compound per package. The blurb refers to Twin Pack, which I took to mean two packs. In fact the definition of Twin Pack in this case, is (from the data sheet) "Twinpacks are pre-weighed resin and hardener components contained in a tough flexible film, separated by a removable clip and rail."My misunderstanding; i've used this packagng before, just not known it was refered to as a Twin Pack before. This is, however, a great way to buy this product so you get the perfect mix of resin and hardener. Having mixed the contents snipping a corner off the sachet makes for easy use too. Mixing this stuff from seperate containers can get messy and it's a chore to clean off, so this package makes use of the product wonderfully hassle free.Asside from the description of the product then, which I think could be made a little clearer, this is a great product that I have no problem recommending. Spiratronics offer it at a good price and delivered very quickly in very good packaging.

The compound itself is fine. It’s described as a twin pack, which it’s not. It’s one 2 Pack. Compound and hardener. Twin pack means two of the same item. I was expecting two and I got one.

Sold as a twin pack but it isnt, which is very misleading, and has thus worked out too expensive as there are cheaper alternatives

For those who feel they have been mislead about the twin pack statement, it means it comes in 1 sachet of 2 components, the base(black) and activator(clear) ....hense the term twin pack, and when mixed together it makes the potting compound.
