I bought these under the recommendation from someone else here on Amazon. I figured for $10 I wouldn't lose much of I didn't like them. I was very pleasantly surprised; the pen feels good in your hand; the nib is very smooth when you write and the ink provided is a nice rich blue color. I haven't checked out the black one yet. I prefer fine point and this one is perfect. The ink spreads differently depending on the paper. I didn't really see any bleeding and very little smearing, if any. The ink went crisp on some paper, and spread on other paper, making it look like the nib is a medium.This is a great every day use pen.

Jinhao has long been my go to for inexpensive fountain pens. Excellent quality, smooth experience, and extremely comfortable, these have become my favorite pens for daily use. I use Diamine inks and have found this to be an amazing combination. I have no doubts that I will be buying more.

The absolute BEST fountain pens I've had in a loooong time. Love them more than my lammy and kuako pens!!! Will be buying more!

I use a fountain pen everyday. I was really excited to find a very affordable fountain pen, but Ahh! There it is the BUT. The nib clogs easily, it is not free flowing and the nib is sharp and hard on paper.

These are a great example of the difference between cheap and inexpensive. I've spent much more on pens that required some work on my part to set them to being decent writers. These worked for me straight out of the box and they are marvelous. The nibs glide over pretty much every paper I've put them too, regardless of whether it was "fountain pen friendly" or not.They will dry out a bit, if not used at least once every few days, but so far have started up with only the barest of coaxing. Once they're flowing, they're a dream to use save that they are a little thin for my tastes these days. But they make up for it by having such nice flow and tight lines. It's almost as soft as using a fine brush, but better because it never gets bristly or loose.Fantastic pens that may make you regret spending more for others.

This pen is quite a bargain. I purchased two pens for less than $10. The pens are hooded nibs which I like as they tend dry out slower than open nibs. The converter is OK and functioned as it should with no filling or leaking problems.The pens open easily and close with a nice click. I was surprised at how wet the nib was. I inked it with Nitrogen ink which has tons of sheen and shading. It is inexpensive enough, you can fill both pens with different colored inks and carry them both. I would not fill an extra fine with shimmering ink, but it performed well on shading/sheening ink so you don't to have boring writing.

These pens are better than I expected. Both pens write smoothly with good ink flow and no leakage. They write better than other pens I own that are name-brand and more expensive. The nibs on these are fine or maybe eleven extra fine but still write smoothly.
