Self inflating-yes, comfortable 10/10, ample size-check. My son is a 6ft 220lb athlete and said this mattress is fire. I have used it twice for camping, sleeping in the back for our 4Runner and I think it’s fabulous. I got a great nights sleep. I tried a number of camping mattresses before finding this one, from very high end compact inflatable to mats to regular blow up camping mattresses by name brand companies and none of them compare to this mattress. Considering buying another bigger one for our 4 man tent. It’s awesome! The only thing I would note is that it doesn’t roll up super small like a backpacking mattress but, well worth the extra bit of cargo real estate for this mattress, I hope it lasts many years.

Super comfortable….I am a big guy and normally don’t sleep well when camping. I slept well enough on this and that is really saying something. It does not feel like you are simply on a raft, as it does with most air mattresses. This one feels more like a big cushiony pad. I did not feel my body touch the ground at all.

While we are renovating our vacation cottage, camp cots were the sleep arrangements. I gave this mattress to the "Lady" and she hasn't complained a bit since, lol. Takes a bit to "inflate" as it is quite thick. If you are a hiker, you are familiar with the 1-2" ones for the trail. This works the same way. It is basically a compressible foam that you "roll" the air out of when you pack it and when you want to use it again, just unroll, and the foam "sucks" in air and "re-inflates". You then close off the valve and enjoy. As it is 4" inches or so thick, I'd give it a good couple hours to fully rise. You can always use it half full as well, but of course won't be as supportive. I definitely recommend it, just keep in mind it is not an instant thing.

I've used this every day since I got it. Still holding air. I find that the amount of air you put in it really affects the comfort level. Too much air and it feels like an air mattress. Too little air and it's squishy. If you experiment and get it just right, you can get it to feel like an expensive mattress. It's thick enough that you don't feel the ground at all. Very comfortable.

I’ve been wanting to upgrade my camping mattress for a while. As I get older, sleeping on the dirt or on a really firm mattresses at a time share condo, is getting hard (literally). The Rilextec Self Inflating Sleeping Pad has exceeded my expectations. It’s an air mattress with ultra-soft and high-density memory foam. I found it super comfortable while laying on my back and on my side.When I unpacked the sleeping pad, I noticed that directions were included on the box and not inside it. I took a picture of the box and then also took pictures of the directions on website. For a few seconds, I thought I was missing the pump since the directions on the box weren’t very clear. Then I discovered that mattress sack actually becomes a pump. I’ve never seen that before but it’s pretty genius.To inflate, you just unroll the sleeping pad and open the valve. It inflates quickly on its own. If you want to firm it up, just fill the pump sack by with air and push it into the mattress. To deflate, just open the valve and roll it up from the pillow side to the foot side.I took pictures of the mattress deflated and inflated as well as showed the thickness with a measuring tape. The description of being ultra thick and measuring 78” x 27” x 4” after inflation is correct.I’m really looking forward to using this sleeping pad during my next camping trip and the next time I’m forced to sleep on top of a really hard mattress.

This is a well made and functional sleeping pad that is a massive upgrade over traditional foam pads. Inflation is a breeze and the pad itself is incredibly comfortable to sleep on. A camping must have to be sure. Highly recommend.

I also have an Exped MegaMat 10 extra wide/long. This pad is comparable to my Exped. This one is slightly longer (79" versus 77.6",) but is more narrow (28" vs 30"). The R-value is also higher than the MegaMat (9.5 vs 8.1).When it arrives it is vaccum-sealed, so you will need to open it up and open the inflate valve and let it expand naturally. I used the included bag to partially inflate it and give the memory foam some time to expand. I think finished it off using a hand-held electric pump. It pad was able to hold the air without any noticable air escaping from the one-way valve. It was comfortable and the seams looked well constructed and the pad was holding its shape without any evidence of wrinkles in the rounded corners. The included storage bag also doubles as the pump. The pad also included straps to hold it all together when rolled up and the bag is oversized so you won't struggle getting it in the bag.So far this is a great pad. I will be taking it out in a couple of weeks. If, for some reason it doesn't perform, I will update this review with the issues I discovered. Otherwise, buy with confidence.
