Zoysia Plugs - 50 Large Grass Plugs - Drought Tolerant, Low Maintenance EZPLug

Every one took root so far. I planted, then watered each plug every day for a solid month (other than when it rained). They were mostly tan with a little green when they arrived. Each plug now is almost fully green (about 3 months after planting). For the second month, I watered every 2nd day just to keep the soil moist. 3rd month I'll just hit them with water every 3-4 days when rain isn't called for.I have a slightly sloped area at the top of the hillside about 30 feet wide by 250 feet long before the property levels out. Although it's not too bad to mow with a 50" Walk-Behind, but I'm getting older and walking on a slight angle is hurting my knees just a bit. Before I get any older, I figured I'd get some of these going so hopefully in a few years I won't have to cut it as much !I put plugs in 15 years ago and none of them established. But then 5 years ago , (10 years after planting) for some reason, it started filling in an area at the far end of the yard with the same slope. I'm guessing the regular thin grass must have choked them out but I guess a few made it. The last 3 years, it has spread appx 30 feet wide by 40 feet deep ! Every year it moves faster and faster so I decided to plant some at the other end this year and hopefully it will eventually meet.More info than needed, but the quick recap : You have to make sure it's watered very well for the first few months so it gets established. After that it's very drought tolerant. If you let it die or get brown in the first 3 months or so, you'll lose it.

Arrived lush and green. I wanted to see if I would have luck with zoysia grass. I planted in empty patches in my front yard. Watered as directed and thankfully we had alot of spring rain showers. I am waiting to see if the plugs survives Texas 110°+ summers before investing in more plugs. I would highly recommend! I was very skeptical but I really wanted to try zoysia grass. It's now first of June and all plugs are surviving. This grass is not a fast spreader. Very pleased with this company's product.

The plugs were carefully packed and beautifully green. They are growing well after a month in the ground.

Used once before and had good luck. Grass spread the first time so hoping for similar results.

The grass plugs came within a week, they were well packaged and they were all healthy, green and ready to plant.

The plugs arrived today, they were green and fresh. Only issue is stating the plugs are large. They are not. They are half the size of the plug tool. I'm sure they will grow but wasn't expecting them to be so small for the price.
