Knife good. Sheath BAD.
The knife is great: sharp and feels nice in my hand. The sheath is strait up trash. Even with the velcro "retention" strap closed around it, the knife blade can still partially slip out and cut. Furthermore, the guthook will cut off that side of the retention strap after just a few draws. Plan on editing the sheath yourself to make it safe or just chuck it and find something better.I added some strong magnets to the outside of the inner liner in the sheath (to pinch the liner to the blade) and will experiment with some active retention options.

The Skinning knife with gut hook .
I will be going bow hunting this week and almost every weekend through December and part of January. If I’m fortunate to bag a deer I will be using it to gut the deer get it ready for possessing.The knife has exceptional ergonomics for handling and to field strip game.

Great knife, badly designed sheath
Pros: Knife is compact but big enough to do the job. Fits comfortably in my large hands. Very sharp right out of the box.Cons: The strap to secure the knife in the sheath is positioned very poorly. The gutting hook is sharp enough that I cut the strap almost completely off the first time I took it out. A design improvement is needed there.
