COBI TOP Gun: Maverick F/A-18E Super Hornet, Silver

Love it

This is my first time buying a set from this brand and honestly I love it, the quality is nice and the build is very sturdy. But while I was building the plane I noticed that I was missing some pieces so I check back and I realized that I am not caught up with the instructions and I was just building the thing myself. Overall, great set but to the people who is new into building Cobi sets, PLEASE read the instruction with extra carefulness and dont be like me.

I got this for my boyfriend who’s obsessed with airplanes, and he loves it. He took it out and started to build it immediately. The instructions were easy, very comparable to regular Lego brand stuff. He’s very satisfied with it, he put it on his shelf for display. Girls, if you’re contemplating getting this as a gift, do it. 10/10

Hot mess here. Missing enough pieces cannot finish it. Waiting to hear back from manufacturer to see if they will send another bag of pieces or entire new kit to finish this thing. If not, will definitely return this thing.update, turns out pieces were there, just had to really look for them. Actually impressed with this kit now, turned out great

OK.... let's get it onMost of the building is straight forward and easy to do. Bags are well sorted and opened as needs during progression. Goes together quickly.Now lets get the ugly out of the wayHere are the area that could use some rework1. Nose cone does not say attached very well, breathe on it and off it comes. The peg they use needs to be a bit longer and a smidge thicker2. the outer folding wing hinge needs more than 2 pegs to connect to...even the smallest bump and the are off...3. Maverick - where to start? arms move in unison. No seat for Maverick to sit in and no mounting point as there are on regular Lego figures to attach him to the air plane4. the center tank could have been assembled with a cross rod and it would stay together easierOnly 2 missing pieces, not bad. had 12 extras including 2 large onesModel is accurate enough for enjoyment and it is faithful to the folding wing variant of the hornet. Detail levels are good overall.This is a teenager and up level of buildWhen you are done I would super glue the weak points mentioned above.

Honestly I love cobi because they are really detailed with the design of the aircraft and honestly way cheaper than those other third party Lego military sets

If your a lego snob and feel like all other brick fall short I'm here to tell you that's not the case. Cobi brick quality is right there with lego. There own design and instructions are different but just as good, and why there my new #1 Brick well two reasons. There Affordable for all that you get and they show support for the world's military. I didn't much like there minifigures at first, but it's one thing lego will always have above other bricks

This is fantastic. It looks pretty neat once built and it was very fun to build it. My only complaint is the tail paint job is two large stickers on transparent material and it's kinda difficult to see on the jet. also the stickers span numerous pieces so you can easily see air bubbles trapped under it. not a big deal I guess, but it looks fine otherwise.
