Smooth, Calming, and Full of Flavor—My New Go-To Sencha
I’ve been drinking the Chaganju Sencha Green Tea for a couple of weeks now, and it’s quickly become part of my daily routine. As soon as I opened the bag, I could tell it was high quality—the leaves have that fresh, grassy scent that’s so distinct to good Japanese green tea.I brew it gently, and the result is this beautiful, clear green cup with a naturally sweet, slightly vegetal flavor. It’s smooth, not bitter at all, and doesn’t leave any weird aftertaste. If anything, it has a really clean finish that makes me want to sip slowly and savor it.What I love most is how calming it is. I’ve started swapping this in for my afternoon coffee, and I get just enough of a lift to stay focused without any of the jitteriness or crash later. It’s like a mental reset in a mug—light, refreshing, and grounding. The tea itself is super consistent. I’ve been re-steeping the leaves and still get a solid second brew without losing flavor. There’s something really peaceful about watching the leaves open up in the pot, especially if you’ve got a glass teapot.Honestly, this tea has brought a little ritual into my day that I didn’t even realize I needed. It’s simple, clean, and just really enjoyable. Definitely planning to keep it stocked.

Authentic Japanese Green Tea - A Pure, Refreshing Experience !
I recently had the pleasure of trying authentic green tea from Japan, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted by a fresh, grassy aroma that instantly transported me to the serene tea fields of Japan. The flavor is exceptionally smooth and well-balanced—naturally sweet with a slight vegetal note and just the right touch of bitterness. It’s clear that this tea was cultivated and processed with care and tradition. The vibrant green color of the brew is another sign of its high quality, especially in varieties like sencha or gyokuro, which are known for their deep umami flavor. What really stood out to me was the calming effect it had. Unlike the jittery buzz of coffee, this green tea provides a gentle energy boost paired with a sense of mindfulness—perfect for a midday break or a moment of relaxation. If you’re a tea enthusiast or simply looking for a healthier, more refined beverage, I highly recommend trying Japanese green tea. It’s more than just a drink—it’s a cultural experience in a cup.

pretty good, not the absolute best
pretty good for the cost, but not really higher-end quality. i like the taste but i usually add some monk fruit extract as a sweetener because the tea is a teeny bit bitter and the sweetness of the monk fruit makes it more enjoyable. there are bits of tea dust left in my cup when i pour it into my cup from my teapot, but not a crazy amount. doesn’t smell amazing compared to some higher-quality teas i’ve tried, but doesn’t smell off-putting. i’d say buy it if you’re new to drinking loose leaf tea, not too picky, or want a daily tea that won’t break the bank

Just like green tea I had when visiting Japan
I’ve traveled to Japan twice and love everything about the country. It’s awesome I can now order products on Amazon that are like what I found there. The leaf quality is excellent … you don’t need a lot to achieve the color, flavor and smoothness. If you’re only used to flavored “green tea products” this may not be for you. I picked this product looking for authentic flavor and am very pleased … have reordered multiple times!

Love this tea!
Great value for high quality organic Japanese Sencha tea. I enjoy at least two cups every morning and the health benefits. Not a fan of tea from China.

Beautiful taste
I am not familiar with tea outside of from a coffee shop or bagged tea, which I drink frequently: this is the first time I've ever had tea like this. I followed instructions on how to prepare Japanese tea, and I think the best way to describe it was that it was an experience. The taste was beautiful. I only used it a few times so far, but this is something that makes me want to stop running around for a few minutes and just sit and drink it.

Great taste
Great taste but if you drink it everyday this little bag won’t be enough.. it could get expensive after a while.
