Expensive but it works
I've been using a Samsung U3 microSD card in my Nextbase 622 dash cam which also has the rear-view camera module. It usually worked fine, but occasionally would lock up and eventually got to the point of locking up daily and would not reformat. I decided to bite the bullet and order the Nextbase-branded card to avoid frustration. I dislike the significant cost premium, but I have to say so far it is working smoothly. This Nextbase card has a higher read-write speed than the Samsung card, which is more important in my case because the camera is recording two feeds (front and rear) to the card continuously. I suspect the Samsung had trouble keeping up with the data feed. There are other, less expensive microSD's on Amazon that have similar specs to the Nextbase card, but I was tired of dealing with it and figured if the Nextbase card doesn't work, there's a problem with the dashcam since they're by the same company. I very much like my dashcam and don't want to swap it out. Hopefully the extra cost is worth the savings in frustration (so far so good).

good performance, must have for NEXTBASE Dash cameras/bad marketing tactics.
The media could not be loaded. in may of 2023, purchased a nextbase 122 dash cam. the bare bones basic model. that model only supported 32GB card. which equated to about a hour and 40 minutes of recording time, that and the fact that the video quality wasn't that good, i decided in june 2024 to upgrade to the nextbase 522gw. full hd and tons of new features from the 122. there isn't anything really special about this nextbase branded card, but for some reason, from the research i've done, if you try to use a 3rd party card for alot less money, you are bombarded with SD card errors and potentially lost footage. the footage my dash cam captures is too important to me to risk by saving a little money purchasing a 3rd party memory card. i totally disagree with nextbase on this one, they should allow any 3rd party cards as long as they meet the specs. also, another weird thing with nextbase cameras is that the manual instructs you to format the card, "EVERY TWO WEEKS". strange, i only formatted my 32GB card a few times in over a year, and never had any issues. the price is a total rip off, but the cameras do peform well and take decent footage. i have attached a night video taken with the 522GW dash cam for review. night and day difference between the 122 and 522 performance wise, however unless your right behind a vehicle, stopped. your unable to make out a tag number. that is disappointing, but the 122 gave me good enough footage back in may of 2023 to prove i wasn't at fault when i was in accident. overall, i'm happy with this 128gb card.

Fixed problems with 522.
I purchased a 522 off eBay that included a Sandisk ImageMate Pro 128GB microSD card. The camera was doing all kinds of weird things. Overheating, locking up, constantly pinging and totally freezing. I read the reviews and some of them stated exactly what my camera was doing. Decided to give the 128 NextBase card a try. Everything is fixed. I agree with other reviews, that the card makes a difference. I have the 522 and the rear window camera. This card is a must. Just remember to go into settings and format your card every two weeks.

Does Not Resolve Nextbase Dashcam Compatibility Defective Operation Problem as claimed by Nextbase
I don't know if there's anything wrong with the Nextbase SD Memory Card itself. Nextbase puts it's endorsement with it's name on the card and states Nextbase SD Memory Cards are the "Only" memory cards that are compatible with Nextbase Products that require Memory Cards. Any other manufacturers' SD Memory Cards are not compatible and will most likely be the cause of defective performance problems. The Nextbase SD Memory Card by name costs more than other SD Memory Cards with the same or better Read / Write speeds as the Nextbase SD Memory Card by name.I purchased this Nextbase SD Memory Card due to Nextbase Technical Support stating this SD Memory Card would correct a Defective Performance problem of 'Video Freezing' experienced when trying to use a Nextbase Dashcam.Nextbase claims that Nextbase SD Cards resolve 'Incompatibility issues' such as 'Video Freezing' experienced with the Nextbase Dashcam. I received this Dashcam as a gift and after setup and installation exactly per Nextbase instructions, the Nextbase Dashcam fails to perform as stated. Purchasing the Nextbase SD Card as required by Nextbase, is at a higher cost than other SD Cards with the same or higher capabilities but 'Failed' to resolve the 'Video Freezing' problem experienced in the Nextbase Dashcam.Nextbase has failed to resolve this 'Video Freezing' problem currently experiencing. I will be purchasing a different manufacturer's dashcam! I am also recommending anyone else reading the reviews I will be posting concerning my experience with Nextbase to do the same, "Don't buy Nextbase!"
