Works in 97 Bonneville - with some mods
Old speakers: Open circuit (dead)I installed these Kenwood 6x9" speakers in the rear of my old 97 Bonneville. They were slightly too large for the mounting trays on the rear deck so I had to enlarge slightly with my Dremel grinder. Had to remove about 1/8" in the corners and then about a 1/16" around the rest of the opening. Took me about 30 minutes of grinding this plastic material using a metal grinding bit. The old Delco speakers were 10 ohms so I searched for 8 ohm speakers which are very hard to find in 6x9, so I ended up buying these Kenwood 4 ohm speakers. Also, since all they give you is a little pigtail wire off the speakers, I had to do some soldering and crimping after cutting off the old connectors in the trunk. Being an electronics guy, I didn't want to take the chance of overloading (possibly frying) the audio amplifier so I installed a 4 ohm resistor (purchased here at Amazon) in series (now 8 ohm load) to approximate the old loads. The amplifier probably could have handled 4 ohms, but I didn't want to take a chance since I had no specs on it. And... you will notice on the speakers that I added the fiber cushioning gasket which I removed from my old speakers with a razor blade. If you're installing these on a metal surface, I would definitely recommend putting some sort of spacer cushion like these on the speakers to avoid any rattle or unwanted vibrations. So how does it sound? Very good! Good medium-low bass and crisp higher frequencies. It was more work than thought it would be but ya, it was worth it.

I knew I could trust the brand name.
Installed my speakers as soon as they came in. Had to modify the speaker slot in the door a little bit but was no problem. Much better sound quality than the original speakers. This was a good purchase.

Good sound for cheap
I have an older car and wasn't looking to spend much for speakers. I got a 6x9 adapter and wire harness added to these speakers. For less than $100 and an hour of my time, these sound far superior to the generic factory installed speakers. Would recommend for a cheap solution.

Muy buena inversión
The media could not be loaded. Me encantaron, suenan muy bien, tienen muy buen bajo, lo único que no calzaron a la perfección en la base que es para 6x9, son un poco más anchas en la parte del cono, por ende no calzaron al 100% pero quedaron bien. 100% recomendadas.

Is NOT a direct fit for dodge 2500
Sounds good but most definitely not a direct fit for a 2008 dodge 2500,requires opening the factory speaker hole up

Works great on my truck!
Speakers working well on my 2010 Toyota Highlander (along with the bracket kit I bought) and I’m very impressed by the quality and sound of them.

To speak speaker
Not really sure how to go forward with this. I've installed many systems in cars , trucks , boats etc...These speakers sound like crap. I'm going to go back recheck everything and look at the amp again. Any input ( gain ) distorts sound. Very confused regarding these 6x9's. I've always used Kenwood products so....
