Buildable Johnny 5 that's RC- What more could you want?!
If you were a big fan of the Short Circuit films from the 80's, and a Lego/Building Block Kit fan, ABSOLUTELY get this set! I've always wanted a toy/rc version of Johnny 5 ever since I saw Short Circuit 2, and boy does this deliver. Sure people are able to produce replicas now with 3d printing and such but it comes at a hefty cost, this does not.I think the price is totally worth it for what you get! I've read some reviews here talking about how parts were missing and the numbered bags didn't go with how the instructions say. They must have updated this product some because I had no issues at all. As big of a Lego nut as I am it takes a lot to impress me with knock-off stuff. I've had other sets in the past like Mega Bloks and such and you can tell the quality is way different from Lego. I cannot say that with this set. I am VERY impressed with the brick quality, besides obviously the Lego logo missing from the bricks, you cannot tell a difference quality wise between Lego and this off brand set.Of course the fact that it's RC is another perk! I recieved and finished the build yesterday and I love it! Sure some of the colors are weird using sand blue bricks for a silver/grey robot but it looks just like Johnny 5. Whoever designed this knew what they were doing with the details. I plan on doing some mods of my own, but even as is, this is an awesome product. If you have doubts about buying this, I can assure you it's worth it and it's top notch. Absolutely no regrets buying this. Everything down to the instructions and numbered bags is nothing less than what I would expect from Lego themselves.

Tough build but rewarding at the end.
First. The only reasons I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars was because there were two pieces, critical pieces that were missing and the delicacy of this figure is extremely apparent throughout the build. The neck was challenging as I was trying to line up the proper holes for the specific pegs while at the same time not breaking off the gear built into the neck that turns the head when motorized. The amount of small pieces was also a challenge. At times it felt like it would never end. There was a large cylindrical section missing from the laser build. This caused me to remove a cylinder piece from the right side pack and replace it with a smaller red cylinder piece which ended up working well. Without the cylinder piece, you can complete the laser build. Parts of it feel solid while other areas feel very fragile so be careful especially if you have kids or pets that love knocking stuff over. Once finished, the look and color of the figure is pretty amazing. I haven’t tried the electronics yet but I will soon. It’s a great and challenging set and the price is pretty awesome. I’m curious what changes that “Lego” would make if they ever sponsored this. I should mention the arms move as well as the fingers, head and laser cannon. Could it be fun for kids? Sure but to me it’s more an adult collector from an iconic 80s film.

Missing parts
I love putting this kit together. The only bad thing is, there was a lot of missing parts. Especially at the end of the project i had no problem getting any replacement for it. But the only thing is that kit was missing just as many parts, I would not suggest getting this. If you want to have a complete part.
