Works Great
This arrived earlier today. I have a tree growing in my back garden and I have always pruned the lower branches. However the higher and really thick branches had extended almost over to our kitchen window. I had been quoted £550 by a firm to cut the branches and take them away. Because of the thickness of the branches I needed something with a saw attachment. What a godsend this product from Spear and Jackson was. It took me a few minutes to attach the saw blade and I was ready to go. Within 15 minutes all the branches were cut. The saw attachment went through them easily. It took me another hour to cut everything into small bits and package them into 3 bins but that's it all done and tidied up. This is a great product at a brilliant price and I'm really glad I bought it. Buy with confidence.

Spear and Jackson lopper
Excellent lopper, good value for money, length is good, good quality, very sturdy/strong, blade for cutting is sharpe, cuts branches an inch thick, lopper quite heavy when extended fully and your up a ladder with not brilliant strength in my arms and not good with heights but actually cut loads down, I’ve not used the saw part of it yet.

Not very long, otherwise good.
Not long enough for most small trees. Does exactly what it claims to do and does it very well - exceptionally sharp! The pull cord tends to get tangled if working through dense branches or in heavy undergrowth; takes some care and a bit of practice to avoid this.

Chop chop
Looks good but won’t really know if it’s value for money until it’s been out in the rain over winter - should be fine and could always get a shed.

Excellent customer suppport from Spear & Jackson
First day using it and the pruner blade snapped. Quick e-mail to S&J and a new blade arrived in the post the next day. Can't really fault it for customer service but I fear the blade is probably not up to harder wood than say privet or roses.
