Don't go to a local store and get one for to much money than it's worth!!! Instead!! BUY THIS PRODUCT NOW!!!If you need to stash money or something and are out and about, get this bottle it's great! Wide mouth opening. Holds 1 1/2 cups of liquid. Bottom screws on/off nicely. It works!!! Only complaint is that you can look and see and kinda easily tell that the bottom does screw off. Mind you its only when looking close/knowing what to look for. I ordered a water bottle carrier that goes well with it and hides the only complaint I had. Now I can walk around sipping gulps out of this and no one would know that I'm holding over 800 in cash, my house key, small big lighter, pack of rolling papers, and more. All at same time, inside hidden an unsuspecting bottle. :)

I previously had a plastic water bottle safe, and it served its purpose for years. It started to degrade and lose its appearance, so I decided on something more secure. This water bottle has a dual purpose of actually holding and maintaining the beverage temperature, it doubles as a safe for your valuables. It is appreciated that if you have paper money, it has the capacity to push the money into the cylinder, allowing more room for your other valuables. I would take this bottle with me on trips, to the beach, or to the office.

Travelers know it's a good idea to never carry all your valuables in one place. To that end, I've got a couple different diversion safes that I use for storing jewelry, cash, and other items when I'm on the road. What makes this one stand out is its completely innocuous appearance; there's never going to be a situation where this is out of place. I got this one for driving; stick it in your cupholder and who knows what sort of treasure you've got hidden in plain sight! Five stars for concept!The execution, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It's still plenty hefty, but it's not nearly as heavy as my stainless water bottle (size differences taken into account). The top lid is lined with plastic and feels cheap/rough. The storage compartment is roomy, but the metal bottom is flimsy. Mine also has some very sharp metal shavings still attached along the bottom edge (like when your can opener doesn't make a clean cut) that'll have to be fixed. There's also a little bit of superficial rust and dirty looking residue inside the bottom storage area. I'm not really sure how well it's going to hold up to the rigors of travel, but fingers crossed.In the spirit of science, I handed this to a friend of mine and she didn't notice anything unusual about it. While she was holding it, I noticed the bottom threading is clearly visible. It doesn't automatically make you think diversion safe, but it looks a little wonky. In a perfect world, this would have been made with sturdier metal, the quality control standards would be a little higher, and the bottom threading would be obscured. Hope this helps.

Despite all of these negative reviews I decided to give it a try.It came In perfect condition for me. No rust no finger prints or anything.I was surprised that it wouldn't if been top heavy with the water reservoir behind on the upper part of the bottle but it feels pretty evenly weighted. So if someone's is holding it using the bottle they wouldn't notice the hidden compartment.It can with a smell proof bag but it's just a small basic plastic bag worth like 5cents. You could just buy a better quality smell proof bag and swap it out.All in all I like it.

I have a star wars bottle that I bought from Target that looks just like this bottle (only difference is that darth vader is on it) and if I put both of them together, no one could even tell that there is a hidden compartment in this one. I can fit a large amount of dollar bills if I fold them or I'm sure a necklace/watch would fit, but other than that, it is pretty small. But definitely worth it if you have a bunch of cups/bottles around cause it disguises itself really well, and you can add liquid to the inside. No one will even notice! Best diversion cup ever!

I believe it’s steel not aluminum. Leak proof. Some asked if you can hide a credit card? Yes, I had to put it at an angle and push the lid on. So I’m guessing the card got slightly bent. Exterior is fingerprint proof. As with any new steel container, there’ll be some black residue, wash and wipe clean before use. Personally I would’ve like it 1” shorter in length so it doesn’t stick out so obvious in cup holder or backpack. In its current size it looks manly. 👍

I'm going to return this, not because it was an inferior product. It's made great. Good solid seals, base screws on nicely. But there wasn't enough room for my car beeper or my drivers license, and that what I needed for the beach. If you have something else smaller --- like just paper money, it would be fine.

Perfect for hiding money, cards, etc. And it's a real water bottle?? Not a very big one, but it does hold water which is great. It's sturdy which is great because it's not balanced very well and will fall over if you breath on it too hard. Just make sure whatever you pack inside the compartment doesn't rattle too badly because it does make noise if you shake it. Overall, one of my better Amazon purchases.
